Shelf Life Requirements
- The material supplied on this contract shall be accompanied by a shelf-life certificate and internal packages marked per MIL-STD-129, (Marking for Shipment and Storage) unless otherwise specified.
The certificate must include:
1.1 Original manufacturer’s name
1.2 Purchase order number
1.3 Part number, revision, and specification (type and class if applicable)
1.4 Manufactured date and expiration date
1.5 Manufacturers compound number and batch number
1.6 Environmental controls as applicable
1.7 Useful storage life
1.8 Storage temperature
2. All material shall be received with at least 75% of the specified shelf-life remaining or within one year from the date of manufacture when the shelf-life exceeds four (4) years.
